Food Establishment Inspection Reports

 

The Andrew County Health Department conducts food service inspections under the authority of the Andrew County Food Service Ordinance. This Ordinance sets forth standards by which sources of food, food service establishments, food service personnel, and food service equipment are regulated to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Critical items relate directly to factors which lead to Foodborne illness, these items must receive immediate action. Non-critical items relate to the maintenance of food operations and cleanliness, these items are to be corrected by the next regular inspection.

Savannah R-3 John Glenn Elementary, 12401 County Road 438, St Joseph, MO 64505. Routine. 05/10/2016. Critical: Proper cooling procedure for potentially hazardous food not being used. Non-Critical: Some floors dirty, dirty ceiling vent, shelf dirty, light-shields dirty, hole in ceiling.

Savannah R-3 Amazonia Elementary, 845 6th St., Amazonia, MO 64421. Routine. 05/10/2016. Critical: Cold unit not maintaining 41degrees or below Non-Critical: Rusted hot-wells, dish-machine plumbing in disrepair (still functional), some floor dirty, dirty ceiling vent.

Savannah R-3 Helena Elementary, 21080 Osage St., Helena, MO 64459. Routine. 05/10/2016. Critical: Mouse droppings found- licensed pest control verified, non-tamper resistant pest control device used Non-Critical: Some floor dirty, shelving dirty-corrected on site, windowsill area dirty.

Savannah R-3 Middle School, 10500 State Route T, Savannah, MO 64485. Routine. 05/10/2016. Non-Critical: Floor under equipment dirty.

Avenue City R-9, 18069 HWY 169, Cosby, MO 64436. Routine. 05/10/2016. Critical: Food establishment permit expired, dirty can opener- corrected on-site.

Trex-Mart #11, 4177 59 HWY, Savannah, MO 64485. Routine. 05/17/2016. Critical: Food being held below 135degrees, shelving used as food contact surface dirty, food being held past 7-day date-mark- corrected on site, dirty can opener, dirty utensil bin, evidence of pests on shelving used as food contact surface, inside ice machine dirty, cold unit with potentially hazardous foods not holding at 41degrees or below. Non-Critical: Thermometer missing in cold unit, dirty drawer, single service items stored improperly, some floors dirty, cold unit hinge and seal in disrepair, cart dirty, damaged walls, counter dirty, store labels not identified on ice bagged on-site, cold unit dirty, ceiling vent dirty, label on hot unit nobs torn.  

Re-inspection. 05/24/2016. Non-Critical: Some floors dirty, cold unit hinge and seal in disrepair, wall in disrepair, label on hot unit nobs torn.

Andrew County Senior Center, 12737 HWY E, Savannah, MO 64485. Routine. 05/17/2016. Critical: Inside ice machine dirty, no air gap present, ice scoop improperly stored, cart used as food contact surface has food debris, mixer dirty, utensil bins dirty, no sanitizer used during food preparation, dirty fans (turned on), raw meat stored above ready to eat food in freezer. Non-Critical: Some cabinets dirty, some floor dirty, hot-wells have food debris, fans dirty (turned off), dumpster lids open, wicker basket used as food contact surface, some ceiling vents dirty, tape used on surfaces used during food service.

Re-inspection. 05/24/2016. Everything corrected.
